The Q’s adapt William Shakespeare’s “Julius Caesar”, with their unique hip hop storytelling twist, by mashing up modern day Washington D.C. and ancient Rome. In this dark and highly comic take on the classic, the Q Brothers address the current political state of affairs in the U.S., by comparing it to the world of dictator Caesar and his surrounding senators who represent the People’s Republic. Heavily influenced by the early 90’s and the Golden Era of Hip Hop, the Q Brothers Collective write and direct 12 UI students in this exciting project.
